I've been having a hard time dealing with everything, not performing how I'd like or feeling like I'd prefer, but hopefully these hard times pass and my motivation spikes up again. I'm thinking that I need to be a normal college kid this weekend and have some fun as well as enjoying the runs I have this weekend rather than focussing on how fast they are or how well I feel. Another reminder, some comments would be nice, I feel like I'm talking to a wall sometimes.. :)

(Hehe- not really "Anonymous"- just couldn't remember my Google password, so this is the only way I could post!) Hi Sam! We've been thinking of you a lot lately. Sorry to hear that this week's been difficult- hope you get to relax and have fun this weekend! Any fun Halloween plans yet? Hugs from the Johnson Family
Hi Johnson Family!!! THANK YOU FOR LEAVING A COMMENT :D :D :D :D
The past few weeks have been a bit tough mentally, I'm finding it hard to stay positive and really believe in myself, I feel like I'm losing a battle with myself and that is the toughest part I'd say. I think I just put so much pressure and expectations on my shoulders that I beat myself up when I don't follow through, but I'm trying to work on it and find the happiness running for fun can bring and focus less on my surroundings. I hope you two get healthy soon! How's the college search going??
Hey Sam it's Olivia just wanted to tell you that you aren't talking to a wall i read your blog and im pretty sure Carly reads it too :) we all miss you here!
olivia thanks for posting! :)
how are you how's everything
hope the blog is helpful or informative lol
Hey Sam it's Shannon. I just wanted to let you know that your posts have been very helpful and insightful while continuing my college search!I miss you Sam and I hope everything starts to get better for you!You are such an inspiration to me and I know you can do whatever you set your mind to, so just keep on going and I know you will do awesome in track!Good luck with everything!Oh and I was also wondering has it been tough balancing classes/homework and running? How are you adjusting to being outside of California?...Just keep thinking positive Sam, I believe in you!
Hey Shannon,
Thanks for posting on my blog!! I really like that I can keep everyone informed with my running and I believe its going to get better, I felt a lot more like myself today and keeping my chin up and my eye on the prize has helped me be more positive, as well as a good talk with my coach. In regards to classes, I'm taking 13 credits this semester and 13 as well for Spring semester, I would say that science classes are my weakness, I'm currently in Biology and its really tough. I actually just switched my major from Nutrition Exercise and Health Sciences to Journalism and Mass communications, so bio should be the only science class I'll need :) Regarding homework, I am busy a lot but its very manageable, for Biology I have a Bio Lab once a week that is 3 hours long but it demands a lot of work outside of class so thats a big one, but other than that everything else is going good and is pretty easy for me. Next semester will be a bit different because of track and if you qualify for meets you travel a lot more than cross country (we only raced every other week in xc where in track it can be every week depending on how much you qualify for) but even with traveling everything is pretty do-able. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask, I'm glad your senior season is going good, keep me updated with your college search and questions.
Sam
